The Publication

Launched in March 2021, Mental Health Spectrum (MHS) is a one of a kind publication serving Las Vegas and surrounding areas. As a resource for psychological wellness, it is more than a simple directory: it provides a wide range of information intended to ADVOCATE, EDUCATE, and INFORM the community at large on all matters concerning mental health.

Founder’s Statement

With over 20 years’ experience in the mental health field as an emergency room assessor, I identified a need-gap on availability of a single comprehensive resource tool on mental health.

Founder/Publisher

Jacqueline Ragin is the founder of MHS. She has over 20 years of experience conducting mental health evaluations, primarily in the emergency room. Jacqui also writes articles for MHS. Her passion is helping people who struggle with mental health issues. Jacqui is a long-time member of the Nevada Coalition for Suicide Prevention. She has been a volunteer with Signs of Hope (formerly Rape Crisis Center) and the Alzheimer’s Association. She holds a PhD in Sociology, two master’s degrees in Public Health (MPH) and Mental Health Counseling (MS), and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

Chief Editor & Writer

Anjum Khan has 20+ years of experience as an editor, writer, research analyst, coach, and consultant in the healthcare and education industries. She has over 12 years experience in managing and coaching research and writing projects, with a strong talent for knowledge management, data collection & analysis, writing, and developing content strategy. Some of her previous work includes: curriculum editor & consultant with the American Medical Women’s Association, research & technical writer with the Chicago Regional Health Administration for DHHS, and research analyst with the Futures Group International and Family Health International.

In her work as an academic, dissertation, and life coach, Anjum strives to help students, professionals, and others realize their full potential and achieve their goals. She emphasizes the importance of good mental health as vital to the success of this endeavor for anyone. Anjum has a master’s degree in Applied Demography and a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Demography. She is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Scrum Coach (SCAC), and Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Practitioner. She also holds a Professional Life Coaching Diploma, and is the author of the children's book, "Just Imagine...What You Can Do!"

Creative Director

Storm Thornicroft is a well-established creative arts and graphic designer, portrait artist, and muralist. She has previously worked at Virgen Advertising as Senior Art Director where she spear-headed the art team and managed the creative development of tailor-made campaigns for the Resort & Tourism, Entertainment, Health Care and Retail sectors. At Pinnacle Entertainment, she was the Senior Designer and Team Lead of six of Pinnacle's 16 gaming/entertainment properties across the United States. Her most recent position has been Regional Creative Manager for MGM Resorts International.​

Her most notable accomplishments include:

Creating the original branding concepts for Mike Tyson’s one-man show “The Undisputed Truth”. Directed by Spike Lee and nominated for the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Variety, this is a fascinating journey into the tumultuous life and career of this sports icon.

Establishing the primary identity for City of Rosemont, Illinois, a thriving commercial and entertainment hub.

Storm is a lover of all things well designed and takes pride in developing her craft. Her true passion is mentoring and developing future leaders within the design industry. Storm has a BFA in Communication Design with Honors (Summa Cum Laude).
